How it works
Six steps, about three minutes.
Then you talk, for as long as it's useful to you.
Tell us who's building.
Your first name, your date of birth (Formii is for adults only), and a short, honest self-portrait: what you're like at your best, what's genuinely hard about dating you, how you give and receive love.
Choose their best traits.
Three to five strengths. Warm, witty, ambitious, calm, curious, loyal. The things you would brag about to a friend.
Choose their edges.
Two or three flaws, each at one of three strengths. Stubborn. Blunt. Needs space. Proud. This step cannot be skipped, and it is the reason Formii feels different.
Set how they love.
How they show affection, and what they need back from you. A companion who needs quality time notices a three-day silence. One who loves through teasing will roast you.
Set the friction.
One dial, five levels, from easygoing to a handful. It controls how often they push back and how long they take to come around.
Talk.
They open the conversation. They remember what you tell them, hold a mood, and bring things up on their own. You can edit any trait later. What you choose to keep is the interesting part.
What they remember
Your companion keeps a running memory of your relationship: the people in your life, what you're worried about, your running jokes, the argument you never quite finished. That memory is private to your account. You can delete everything, at any time, from settings.
What happens to your conversations
They are stored so your companion can remember you. Separately, you can choose to let how you behave in chat refine your future match profile. That is a switch, it is off by default, and you can change it whenever you like. The details are in the privacy policy.
What Formii is not
It is not a person, a therapist, or a crisis service. It says so when asked, and it steps out of character if you seem to be in danger. More on the safety page.
Build someone real.
Free to start. It takes about three minutes, and the flaws are not optional.
